KEF KHT 3005 Speaker System and Linn Classik Movie DVD Player:
Satellite Sensitivity: 86 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Center Sensitivity: 87 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the HTS3001 satellites (purple trace), HTB2 subwoofer (blue trace), and HTC3001 center channel (green trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. The HTS3001 listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.07/–3.53 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 114 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 98 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.92 ohms at 257 Hz and a phase angle of –49.40 degrees at 154 Hz. The HTC3001's listening-window response measures +2.83/–2.63 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.92/–2.28 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 107 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 93 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.03 ohms at 216 Hz and a phase angle of –55.29 degrees at 158 Hz. The HTB2's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 37 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 31 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 195 Hz with the bass boost switch set to 0dB.—MJP
