PSB G-Design Speaker System and Adcom GFR-700HD A/V Receiver:
L/R Sensitivity: 87.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Center Sensitivity: 89.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Surround Sensitivity: 87.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the GT-1 L/R (purple trace), SubSonic 6i subwoofer (blue trace), GC-1 center channel (green trace), and GB-1 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. The GT-1's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +0.90/–3.64 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 50 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 38 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.94 ohms at 152 Hz and a phase angle of –27.77 degrees at 2.7 kHz. The GC-1's listening-window response measures +2.14/–5.22 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.46/–7.00 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 56 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 48 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.73 ohms at 230 Hz and a phase angle of –36.58 degrees at 4.8 kHz. The GB-1's listening-window response measures +0.92/–4.75 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 62 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 48 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.89 ohms at 183 Hz and a phase angle of –38.49 degrees at 5.8 kHz. The SubSonic 6i's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 24 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 22 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 130 Hz with the LFE Input switch set to Active.—MJP
