Mirage Omnisat v2 Speaker System:
L/R Sensitivity: 83 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Center Sensitivity: 83 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz Surround Sensitivity: 82.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Omnisat v2 FS L/R (purple trace), OMNI-S12 subwoofer (blue trace), Omnisat v2 CC center channel (green trace), and Omnisat v2 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. (Please note that comparing the measured response and sensitivity of any multipole loudspeaker to that of a conventional monopole loudspeaker is tricky at best. Due to the inherently different radiation pattern of these loudspeakers, we can expect that the listening-window response will appear to droop in the higher frequencies, pulling the sensitivity rating down with it.) The Omnisat v2 FS's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +3.52/–6.21 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 58 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 54 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.68 ohms at 403 Hz and a phase angle of –45.86 degrees at 129 Hz. The Omnisat v2 CC's listening-window response measures +1.75/–10.38 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.74/–10.92 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 111 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 90 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.96 ohms at 1.8 kHz and a phase angle of –71.51 degrees at 120 Hz. The Omnisat v2's listening-window response measures +1.71/–8.05 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 114 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 97 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 11.07 ohms at 257 Hz and a phase angle of –47.68 degrees at 137 Hz. The OMNI-S12's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 24 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 22 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 109 Hz with the filter switch set to off.—MJP
