Integra's 5.1 DVD Receiver Bookmark and Share
October 22, 2002 — Simplicity is a good thing, especially when it comes to installing home theater in a small room.

Integra has introduced the DSR-7.3, a one-piece electronic system compatible with any 5.1 speaker array and video display. The DSR-7.3 is a 5.1-channel progressive scan DVD receiver that offers high quality home theater performance in one compact integrated component.

Capable of playing DVD, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, and MP3 encoded CD-Rs, the DSR-7.3 features progressive-scan component video as well as parallel S-video and composite outputs for connecting multiple displays. Built-in Dolby Digital, Dolby ProLogic II and DTS decoders deliver clear multichannel audio regardless of the software encoding, "producing dynamic sound effects and a multichannel soundstage that puts the viewer in the movie," according to an October 23 announcement.

Installation is a breeze. The back panel has color-coded terminals for intuitive organization, setup and operation of the DSR-7.3. The receiver includes an AM/FM tuner with 30 presets, digital input and output jacks, and RCA connections for 2 additional audio components, such as a portable player. Power output is 5 x 25 Watts into 6-Ohms.

The DSR-7.3 is perfect for the office, bedroom, basement, or summer home. It's currently available at a suggested retail price of $600. Integra can be reached by phone at 800-225-1946.
