Marantz Offers Blu-ray Rebate
The mail-in rebate affects the BD7004 ($800) and BD5004 ($550) with purchases made from authorized retailers from November 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009. Rebate forms must be sent in by January 31, 2010. The two models both have Anchor Bay video processing, 36-bit Deep Color, and aluminum-reinforced resin front panels. Their card readers can handle SD, SDHC, mini-SD, and micro-SD. Both offer onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio (not all competing players do). File format compatibility includes WMA, MP3, JPG, DivX, and AVCHD. The higher-end BD7004 also has a vibration-proof chassis with heavy top cover and 7.1-channel (as opposed to stereo) analog outputs. See the Marantz site for more information about the BD7004 and the BD5004. These webpages include the rebate form.
