The top chart shows the PRO-110FD's gray scale relative to its color temperature at various levels of intensity, or brightness (20 IRE is dark gray; 100 IRE is bright white). The gray scale as set by the factory, in the Mid-Low color-temperature mode and the Pure picture mode, measures warm across most of the gray-scale range, with the brightest of images measuring slightly cool. After making adjustments using the Photo Research PR-650, the gray scale measures better, although there is still a dip warm at the low end and a dip cool at the high end.

The bottom chart for gray scale (or color temperature) relative to the color points of the display's red, green, and blue phosphors are somewhat close to those specified by SMPTE. Red and green are slightly oversaturated. Blue is very slightly greenish-blue.

After calibration, and using a full-field 100-IRE white (16.08 foot-lamberts) and a full-field 0-IRE black (0.004 ft-L), the full-on/full-off contrast ratio was 4,020:1. Using a 16-box checkerboard pattern (ANSI contrast), the contrast ratio was 3,239:1. With a 100-IRE window the PRO-110FD was able to produce 42.58 ft-L, for a "real world" contrast ratio of 10,645:1.
