Atlantic Technology System 920 Speaker System and Onkyo TX-SR503 A/V Receiver:
Satellite Sensitivity: 82.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the 920 LR satellites (purple trace) and 102 SB subwoofer (blue trace). The passive loudspeaker was measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input. The 920 LR's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/-15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.40/-2.83 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. An average of axial and +/-15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.40/-3.21 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The -3dB point is at 104 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 90 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.05 ohms at 224 Hz and a phase angle of +42.14 degrees at 102 Hz. The 102 SB's close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower -3dB point is at 37 Hz and the -6dB point is at 30 Hz. The upper -3dB point is at 156 Hz with the crossover-frequency control set to maximum.—MJP
